Today we’re announcing our 2024 Goodies Pack product! There’s a challenge in bringing the physical game to new in-person players that only increases year after year – there’s no starter boxes for them to begin playing the game. Sure, they can search for them online at discount prices, but in order to draw people to the game at in-person events, two approaches can be deployed:
- Build decks from donated and old cards for giveaways – dependent on supply and time-consuming
- Offer all-new cards for new players to enjoy
We use the first approach for much of our outreach, and I typically start an event weekend with 15-20 decks in hand solely for giveaways with the expectation that I’ll have to build more. But having the 2024 Goodies Packs on-hand also provide the premium starter box experience for those looking for shiny new cards!
The Goodies Packs will be available this year for at-cost donations at TFcons this year, and you can preview what’s in each Pack on our Releases page.
Of course, the name of the product is the 2024 Goodies Pack. Who knows what we’ll come up with for next year?
