Professionally Printed Cards

If you’d rather not print your own, professionally printed community cards are available for donations through our Donation Storefront, as well as through conventions, local events, giveaways, and online play rewards.

Donations help cover production, packaging, shipping, event support, and artist commissions. Physical card availability through the Storefront may vary by region.

Printing Transformers TCG Cards

All released transformerstcg.org community cards are available as free downloads for players who want to print their own copies. You can print cards at home, use a local print shop, or order higher-quality cards from a professional card printer.

If you would rather get professionally printed transformerstcg.org cards without setting up a print order yourself, check our Donation Storefront. Availability varies by release and location.

Printing at Home or at a Print Shop

The easiest and least expensive option is to use the print-ready PDFs available through this page.

You can print them using a home color printer or take the files to a local print shop or office supply store such as Staples or Office Depot.

When printing:

1. Select 100% or Actual Size in your printer settings.
2. Disable Fit to Page, Scale to Fit, or any other automatic scaling.
3. Print in color for the clearest and easiest-to-recognize cards.
4. Cut the cards out along their edges.

For battle cards, stratagems, and other standard-size cards, place the printed card in an opaque sleeve over an existing trading card. The backing card provides the expected thickness and makes even ordinary paper copies easy to shuffle and play.

For standard character cards, print and trim both sides, then place them together in a clear 3.5 × 5-inch sleeve or toploader. A piece of card stock between the two printed sides can provide additional rigidity.

These copies are suitable for learning the game, casual play, playtesting, and other situations where professionally printed cards are unnecessary.

Printing on Card Stock

For sturdier cards, consider printing on heavy card stock around 300–325 GSM.

Heavy stock works particularly well for character cards, where only a small number of oversized cards need to be printed and cut. Check your printer’s supported paper weights before trying to feed heavy card stock through a home printer.

For battle cards, printing on ordinary paper and sleeving the printout over an existing card is usually simpler and easier to shuffle.

Professional Card Printing

Players looking for cards with a feel closer to commercially printed game cards can also use a professional card-printing service.

MakePlayingCards supports the standard sizes used by most Transformers TCG cards. BoardGamesMaker and NotMPC are additional options for custom card printing.

The specifications below describe our recommended MakePlayingCards setup. Other printing services use their own stock, finish, and configuration options.

For professional printing, use the individual card images with bleed included with a download when available. Keep the bleed area intact when uploading the images.

Battle Cards, Stratagems, and Small Character Cards

• Size: 2.48 × 3.46 inches / 63 × 88 mm
• Card stock: S33 Superior Smooth
• Print type: Full color print
• Finish: MPC card finish
• Packaging: Shrink-wrapped is sufficient

Standard Character Cards

• Size: 3.5 × 5 inches / 89 × 127 mm
• Card stock: S33 Superior Smooth
• Print type: Holographic (front) for a foil-style character card, or full color print for a less expensive option
• Finish: MPC card finish
• Packaging: Shrink-wrapped is sufficient

When selecting Holographic (front), remember that the printing service’s “front” determines which uploaded side receives the holographic treatment. Make sure the character side intended to receive that treatment is assigned accordingly when building the order.

Titan-Sized Character Cards

Original Titan-sized Transformers TCG character cards are approximately 5⅝ × 7⅞ inches, considerably larger than standard character cards.

MakePlayingCards can produce cards at this size as a custom request, but the size is not available as a standard preset. Contact MPC customer service directly to arrange a Titan-sized print order.

For players who only need a few copies, local printing on sufficiently large paper or card stock may be the simpler option.

A Note About Third-Party Printers

Professional printing services set their own content, intellectual-property, file, and production requirements, and those requirements can change. A printer may decline an order containing copyrighted or trademarked material.

transformerstcg.org provides downloadable cards for personal, non-commercial fan use, but cannot guarantee that any particular third-party printing service will accept or produce them.
