Welcome Back, Alpha Trion Protocols Players
If you played the Transformers Trading Card Game through Alpha Trion Protocols and its numbered ATP releases, welcome back.
Alpha Trion Protocols, the group formerly known as Vector Sigma, remained a home for the game after official support ended, continuing organized play, discussion, and original card development. ATP ran its last known tournament, the “ATP 7 Season Kickoff,” from November 16 to 30, 2022, and left the Transformers TCG in 2023 shortly after releasing its final fan set. Many former players lost track of what happened next.
The game continued to grow.
transformerstcg.org now supports the community game through new cards and full Waves, current rules, multiple formats, online and in-person events, free print-and-play downloads, professionally printed cards, Public Beta testing, and resources for new and returning players.
The history of ATP also remains accessible within the wider community game. ATP releases are preserved and available for play through the Black Hole archive on the transformerstcg.org Tabletop Simulator table. Org Wave 9: War|Void also includes Die Another Day, a homage to the ATP card Despite Any Difficulty. It’s just one example of how memorable ideas from earlier fan releases can continue to be recognized as the game moves forward.
The current transformerstcg.org card pool and balance environment may differ from the ATP game you remember, but you do not need to learn everything before returning. You can revisit ATP cards, explore newer community releases, join a game, ask questions, and find the format or deck that works for you.
